Our Group CSR Activities
As a responsible eco-friendly company, we are conscious of the environmental effects of our business particularly in the plantation sector of the Group’s business. We take this very seriously and consistently strive towards minimising our footprint on the natural environment.
We are also aware of being efficient in the usage of energy as a cost saving measures.
Conscious efforts are being made to meet Government guidelines in looking after the environment. This helps us meet our goals of reducing waste and energy consumption. At Pinepac, we’re proud to say we believe in creating a serene balance between our businesses and caring for our natural surroundings.
The Group recognises that its people are what build the company. In that respect, we continuously focus on the development of our human capital by enhancing our core competencies. Our employees are always given the proper support in order to acquire relevant skills to achieve a higher productivity level.
We never let true dedication and passion go by unnoticed. We encourage progress within The Group by promoting, rewarding, and recognising those who contribute to the company.
But as the old saying goes, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. We know that healthy relationships within the company’s community will help build a better environment for everyone. Therefore, we encourage employees to get involved in various social gatherings such as sporting events, ‘buka puasa’ break fast, annual dinners, and recreational activities.
These casual social events will help foster stronger bonds within the community.
As a means to contribute to a wider society, Young Achiever’s awards are given to all outstanding students in primary and upper secondary school levels. These awards are based on a student’s achievements in both academic studies and extra-curriculum activities.
As a 21st century company, our main line of information to the public is our corporate website. We also hold periodic analyst and media briefings to share company information and strategy with the broader public.
At Pinepac, we acknowledge our duties as part of a wide community and always endeavour to lend a hand to those in need.
Over the years, Tan Sri (Dr.) Kenneth Eswaran, our Executive Chairman has been actively contributing and providing financial support to various causes including non-profit organisations and other welfare organisations such as orphanages, hospices and homes for senior citizens.
One such contribution happens annually during the festive’s season of where the company makes it a point to share the joy with children and old folks from various homes in Klang Valley where they will be treated with food items, festive delicacies and cash tokens. The contribution may seem simple, but these small gifts go a long way when it comes to giving back to the public.
As part of the ongoing community outreach programme, the people of Pinepac will continue the tradition of visiting various welfare homes and charitable organisations to lend a helping hand to those who are in need.
We will maintain our status as a community-sensitive company by consciously allocating time, preparing financial support, and any means of charity in order to lessen the burden of the underprivileged.
